Under the stars at Growwild Wildflower Farm

How did you meet?

Jeremy and I met 9 years ago through mutual friends. We got engaged last year in a surprise trip to Port Douglas.

How and why did you choose your wedding venue?

We fell in love with Growwild Wildflower Farm from the moment we visited. We live in the Southern Highlands, so knew we had to take advantage of our surroundings and have a local wedding. Lush garden ceremony, marquee reception and personalised catering, Growwild ticked all the boxes. As well as the owners, Sue and Peter being incredibly accommodating, helpful and kind.

What style were you looking to create?

We wanted the day to be very relaxed and informal so we went with a cocktail style wedding with bar seating and lounges. The marquee allowed us to create a beautiful outdoor space right next to the dance floor so everyone was together. We had a pizza van bring 3 courses of pizzas around to our guest for hours and a dessert bar for everyone to enjoy across the evening. Little Gracey set up outside for guests to enjoy their drinks under the stars while playing lawn games and mingling throughout the night.
 

What was your favorite moment of the day?

Our first dance. The MC surprised us and organised for our first dance to take place outside with all the guests holding sparklers around us. Its was perfect even with a little rain.

What surprised you about your wedding day?

How quickly it went. Everyone warns you but you don't realise until the end.
 

What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?

Don't fuss too much over the small stuff, it wont matter on the day.
 

Why did you choose Little Gracey, and what inspired your bar menu?

Jeremy & I both feel in love with the idea of Little Gracey before we even got engaged and was one of the reasons why we choose our venue. The flexibility of being able to choose what drinks we serve was a big must for us and the staff and service we experienced was flawless. We had a crazy amount of comments from guests saying what a great idea Little Gracey is. Highly recommend!
